Meet Dr Helen Care
Clinical Psychologist for children, young people and families
With over 20 years of experience across the NHS and private practice, Helen offers individual online therapy for children, young people and families.
Alongside this, she also assesses neurodiversity for a specialist diagnostic service.
A practical approach
Helen works with a range of therapeutic approaches, blending them to suit each individual patient, their experiences and needs. These include CBT, EMDR (including specialist EMDR for neurodiversity) ACT and her therapeutic ‘home’, Narrative Therapy.
Playful at heart
Helen loves getting creative, telling stories and helping young people to tell their own. By building characters and stories together, Narrative Therapy offers a safe
way to talk about experiences and start to explore and understand difficult feelings.

Experience and training
With more than 13 years in the NHS, Helen has worked in settings including Great Ormond Street Hospital, Southampton General Hospital, Rowan Hospice
Portsmouth and John Radcliffe Hospital Oxford University NHS Trust.
